REGISTRATION :
Registration is not complete until a signed Registration Form, along with the Registration Fee of $30 per student (with a limit of $90 per family) and a post-dated cheque for September of the current teaching year. This cheque will be cashed whether or not lessons continue. A separate cheque for registration is required. Those students registering after September 1st may add the registration fee to the first month's fees.
Those students re-registering must have all paperwork completed and handed in NO LATER THAN MAY 31.
Those new students seeking to register for the fall season must register in the same manner NO LATER THAN JUNE 15.
Post-dated cheques, dated from October 1, until June 1, must be received NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 15.
The lesson commitment is for 10 months (September to June). In the case of early withdrawal or change in commitment, notice must be given prior to the 1st of the month. Two month’s lesson fees will be forfeit if withdrawal is prior to February 28th. THERE WILL BE NO WITHDRAWAL AFTER MARCH 1st with no exceptions.
THE REGISTRATION CHEQUE AND SEPTEMBER CHEQUE ARE NON-REFUNDABLE AND WILL BE CASHED WHETHER LESSONS CONTINUE OR NOT.
LESSON CANCELLATION :
a)
Rather than cancelling a lesson, the first line of defense is to switch your lesson with another student. Upon request, a list of students’ lesson times and days and their phone numbers will be provided. Please check lesson length.
b)
In the case of illness, 24 hours notice is required. The definition of “illness” is confined to bed. If this is not the case, theory and ear training may be taken in place of the performance part of the lesson, with no exceptions. Any lessons cancelled at the last minute will not be rebooked.
c) No adjustments of fees or lesson times are made for time lost or lessons missed due to lateness, social inconvenience, inadequate practice or extended holidays. Students who find other activities that take them away from their regularly scheduled lessons cannot hold the teacher responsible for the lesson, with no exceptions.
d)
In the case of long-term illness, broken bones or an absence of more than two weeks, the lessons must be paid for, or the student will lose his or her lesson day and time.
If the teacher must cancel a lesson due to illness or a schedule conflict, a make-up lesson will be arranged at a time that is mutually convenient. After two failed attempts to re-schedule, the lesson will be forfeit.
